Tesla Completes AI5 Chip Tape-Out, Plans Mass Production in Korea with Advanced Packaging

Tesla's design team has completed the tape-out of the AI5 chip. The chip integrates a core logic die with at least 12 memory semiconductor chips into a single module. The marking "KR 2613" on the chip may indicate it will be manufactured in Korea during the 13th week of 2026. Tesla CEO Elon Musk expressed gratitude to partners including Samsung Electronics and revealed that follow-up chip projects, such as AI6 and Dojo3, are already underway.
