XPeng GX, the brand's flagship SUV, officially launched on May 20, offering both all-electric and range-extended variants with an official manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) ranging from RMB 279,800 to RMB 359,800. Customers who place their orders before 24:00 on June 30 will receive a limited-time discount of RMB 10,000, bringing the effective price range down to RMB 269,800–RMB 349,800. The vehicle measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,115 mm. It rides on 22-inch wheels and is available in five exterior colors—Everest White, Polar Black, Fjord Grey, Danxia Red, and Desert Gold—and three interior color schemes—Dawn White, Forest Mist Purple, and Platinum Brown. The exterior features a clamshell hood and an integrated clamshell tailgate, complemented by hidden beltlines and flush side windows, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.255. At the front, it sports a 24K Space Ceramic gold emblem and megapixel DLP digital projection headlights capable of intelligent obstacle avoidance and ground projection interaction. All four doors feature electric opening and closing functionality. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 21.4-inch 3K ceiling-mounted screen (with intelligent anti-pinch sensors) and a 17.3-inch 120Hz central touchscreen. It debuts the industry’s first frost-free, air-cooled车载 refrigerator with built-in sterilization capabilities, controllable via voice commands. The audio system is the Lingjing AI Sound Max, featuring 33 speakers throughout the cabin. Interior materials include Alcantara headliners, Nappa leather, and wood trim accents, along with triple-layer ambient lighting. All six windows are fitted with AI-tinted privacy glass that can switch tint levels in just 0.16 seconds. The seating layout follows a 2+2+2 six-seat configuration, featuring three rows of power-folding seats, including two zero-gravity seats—one in the front and one in the second row—enabling flexible switching between four-seat, five-seat, and six-seat modes. The third-row seats offer 0–180° recline adjustment and can be fully folded into a recessed trunk floor. With all six seats occupied, the vehicle can accommodate six 24-inch suitcases; when all seats are folded flat, the trunk capacity expands to 1,748 liters. The standard trunk volume is 673 liters, and the all-electric version adds a 109-liter front trunk. In terms of intelligence, the XPeng GX is China’s first pre-installed mass-production Robotaxi prototype vehicle, engineered to Level 4 autonomous driving standards. It runs on a 3,000 TOPS effective computing platform using a pure vision-based solution—without LiDAR—and integrates safety redundancy technologies from flying cars alongside an embodied intelligence architecture. It supports automatic emergency braking at speeds up to 150 km/h and AES (Automatic Emergency Steering) emergency lane changes at up to 130 km/h, including AES functionality optimized for icy, snowy, or wet road conditions. A driver monitoring and assistance system detects abnormal driver states and can autonomously pull over to a safe location, intelligently selecting an appropriate emergency stopping zone. For battery management, the GX debuts XPeng’s EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy) battery management system, enabling real-time monitoring throughout charging and discharging cycles, precise state-of-charge estimation, and early warnings for potential safety hazards. The chassis employs native steer-by-wire technology combined with rear-wheel active steering, allowing this SUV—over 5.2 meters long—to achieve a remarkably tight turning radius of just 5.4 meters. Safety-wise, the body structure utilizes a 16,000-ton front-and-rear integrated die-casting process and includes 11 airbags plus a full-length side curtain airbag, forming a comprehensive safety framework encompassing passive safety, active safety, and aviation-grade redundant safety systems. During the launch event, the vehicle successfully passed the industry’s first-ever 720° five-stage sequential crash test—comprising underbody scraping, frontal, side, rear collisions, and roof impact—with the passenger compartment remaining fully intact. Redundant safety designs include: quadruple backup for the steering system; dual hydraulic + electronic brake redundancy; redundant drive control circuits and motors; dual CAN bus communication channels; dual power supply backups; and dual door-unlocking mechanisms with quadruple opening methods. Powertrain options include a 1.5T range extender for the extended-range variant, delivering a CLTC all-electric range of 430 km and a total combined range exceeding 1,585 km. The all-electric version is built on an 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform, offering a maximum CLTC range of 750 km and supporting 5C ultra-fast charging. Both variants come standard with dual-chamber air suspension and CDC (Continuous Damping Control) adaptive damping systems.
