Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with China's State Administration for Market Regulation. Starting August 10, 2026, the company will recall 58 domestically produced vehicles manufactured between May 9, 2023, and February 5, 2024, including certain C 200 L, C 260 L, EQE 350, EQE 500, EQE SUV 350, EQE SUV 500 L, GLC 260 L, and GLC 300 L models. The affected vehicles are equipped with a heated steering wheel function. Due to poor electrical connections in the steering column control module, frequent use of the heated steering wheel combined with vehicle vibration during driving may cause an interruption in the electrical connection between the steering column control module and the steering wheel’s electronic components. This could result in the failure of the horn, multifunction buttons, and certain driver assistance features, posing a safety risk. Beijing Benz will eliminate this hazard by replacing the steering column control module free of charge through its authorized dealers.
