In May 2026, NIO delivered 37,705 new vehicles, representing a 62.3% year-over-year increase and a 28.4% month-over-month rise. Deliveries included 20,013 units under the NIO brand (up 50.8% YoY), 12,029 units under the ONVO brand (up 91.5% YoY and 124.8% MoM), and 5,663 units under the Firefly brand (up 53.9% YoY and 13.7% MoM). The all-new ES8 achieved deliveries of 11,475 units in May, securing its position as the best-selling large SUV and top-selling model priced above RMB 400,000 (regardless of powertrain type) for the fifth consecutive month. From January to May 2026, NIO delivered a total of 150,526 vehicles, up 68.7% year-over-year. As of the end of May, cumulative deliveries reached 1,148,118 units. On May 27, the NIO ES9 officially launched and began deliveries, with prices ranging from RMB 498,000 to RMB 628,000; with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, the starting price is RMB 390,000. On May 15, the ONVO L80 launched and commenced deliveries, priced between RMB 242,800 and RMB 279,800 for full vehicle purchase, or RMB 156,800 to RMB 193,800 with the BaaS option.
