Avatr delivered 7,336 vehicles in May. The Avatr 07L has appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announcement and will be among the first models equipped with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system. Meanwhile, Avatr has begun rolling out the AVATR.OS 5.1.2 software update, which primarily integrates Huawei Qiankun ADS 4.1.5 and introduces new features such as defensive driving assistance for sharp curves under human driving and rearward VRU (Vulnerable Road User) early warnings. On May 29, at the Future Mobility Pioneers Conference, Wang Hui, Chairman of Avatr Technology, stated that electrification represents the first half of the automotive industry’s transformation, while intelligentization defines the second half. He noted that the new energy vehicle sector is currently experiencing intense technological competition—not only in pricing but also in product technology, specifications, and ecosystem services—putting significant pressure on the industry’s overall health. Data shows that China’s auto sales are expected to exceed 34.4 million units in 2025, yet the industry’s average profit margin stands at just 4.1%. This figure further declined to 2.9% in January–February 2026. Wang emphasized that sales without profitability are illusory, and scale achieved through price wars constitutes a false prosperity.
