Freetech recently secured a定点 (定点 means "nomination" or "award" in automotive industry context, often translated as "定点 award" or simply "award") for a leading domestic independent brand’s vehicle model. The model will be equipped with Freetech’s “Fuxing” integrated intelligent cockpit solution and its self-developed 4D millimeter-wave radar, with mass production scheduled to commence in October 2024. The “Fuxing” solution is a new product series launched by Freetech, featuring an integrated domain controller for driving and parking that supports sensor fusion—including an 8MP front-facing camera and 4D imaging radar—as well as flexible intelligent integrated cockpit configurations ranging from 2V5R to 1VnR architectures. This solution is suitable for both passenger and commercial vehicles and complies with global export standards. The 4D millimeter-wave radar selected for this project is Freetech’s globally debut 8T8R edge-architecture product, the FVR60. It delivers significant improvements in processing speed and RF performance over its predecessor, meeting China’s mandatory national standard GB《Safety Requirements for Combined Driving Assistance Systems of Intelligent Connected Vehicles》in terms of detection range, ability to detect small or weak targets, and anti-interference performance. Freetech is currently working closely with upstream and downstream ecosystem partners to advance the mass production implementation of this project.
