XPeng Motors recently responded to online rumors claiming that customers could "pay an extra RMB 20,000 to jump the queue for vehicle delivery." On June 3, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of XPeng Motors, clearly stated during a live stream from the company’s Guangzhou factory that XPeng strictly prohibits any form of paid queue-jumping, and all customers will receive their vehicles strictly in the order their orders were placed. He Xiaopeng revealed that several friends had recently approached him requesting to pay extra for earlier delivery, but all such requests were declined. He explained that although the company briefly considered this option, it ultimately decided against it out of concern that allowing paid priority would lead to widespread price markups on popular configurations, disrupting market order. He emphasized that XPeng has never implemented a paid-priority policy in the past and will not do so in the future. Additionally, He mentioned that many acquaintances from the aviation, film, and cultural industries—even some long-uncontacted WeChat friends—have recently reached out to inquire about the XPeng GX model and sought configuration advice to shorten their waiting time. He personally assisted them via WeChat in selecting configurations with relatively shorter delivery cycles. Regarding the current 35-week delivery wait time for the XPeng GX, He acknowledged significant production capacity pressure but noted that he and President Wang Fengying are jointly overseeing core supply chains, adding new molds and production lines for critical components. He expects delivery speeds to improve within the next two to four weeks. He also pointed out that the XPeng GX undergoes 200 more quality inspection items than the industry average, and that overseas blind pre-orders have already exceeded 1,000 units.
