On July 22nd, IIA learned from BAIC BJEV that the joint laboratory of the BAIC BJEV Test Center in E-Town, Beijing was officially put into use. In addition, BAIC BJEV, which entered the third stage of development, has also planned to launch six new models, including sedans, SUVs and MPVs.
The business scope of the center involves six major fields: battery, motor, electronic control, intelligent network, lightweight, and vehicle application.
For BAIC BJEV, the official launch of the test center means that the company is moving towards high-quality sustainable development and opening an important milestone for the “Quality 2.0” of innovative energy vehicles.
The BAIC BJEV Test Center has a construction area of 50,000 square meters and a total of 88 laboratories, costing 2.051 billion yuan. The first phase of the project was officially opened on July 22, 2019, and the second phase of the project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
At present, BAIC BJEV has entered the third stage of development, and the company will launch 6 third-stage products based on professional pure electric platform in the future. The BAIC BJEV EX3 has achieved a 500-kilometer NEDC cruising range, and the upcoming N60 model will have a NEDC cruising range of more than 600 kilometers.
