As of February 9, Xiaomi’s Legal Department has received participation from 18,266 individuals in its “Special Assistance Initiative for Owners Targeted by Cyberattacks.” Among them, 2,189 submitted valid evidence, and the department has already helped 51 car owners successfully file lawsuits with the courts. Additionally, three recent incidents involving malicious damage to Xiaomi vehicles in public spaces have occurred. The Legal Department responded promptly, dispatching lawyers to assist affected owners in safeguarding their rights. In the first two cases, suspects have been apprehended by police and subjected to detention, fines, and compensation orders. The third case was resolved through negotiation, with all losses fully recovered by the owner. Xiaomi’s Legal Department emphasized its “zero-tolerance” stance toward infringement activities and urged car owners encountering similar situations to submit evidence via the Xiaomi Auto Community. The company pledged to pursue legal accountability to the fullest extent to protect user rights and uphold its brand reputation.
