In its latest research report, China International Capital Corporation (CICC) noted that the adoption of fuel cell vehicles during the 14th Five-Year Plan period has fallen short of expectations, with the industry broadly facing challenges such as weak growth, profitability difficulties, and mounting accounts receivable. Despite these current short-term difficulties, China’s strategic direction for hydrogen energy remains clear. Coupled with anticipated stronger policy support and continuously expanding application scenarios in the future, the fuel cell sector is expected to gradually emerge from its current trough and holds significant development potential in the medium to long term.
