Amid a broader industry trend of SUVs becoming increasingly "urbanized," the 212 brand has taken a contrarian approach with its new T01 series, steadfastly retaining a body-on-frame construction, solid front and rear axles, and a mechanical transfer case—prioritizing ultimate reliability and off-road capability. The T01 boasts an impressive approach angle of 43° and a wading depth of up to 910 mm. It is powered by a Euro VI-compliant 2.0L turbo-diesel engine paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering high low-end torque and a driving range of nearly 1,000 kilometers—ideal for remote areas with limited refueling infrastructure. The T01 Changfeng diesel variant goes further, co-developed with Yunliang Off-Road as a factory-enhanced model. It comes standard with electronically controlled differential locks, nitrogen-charged shock absorbers, a lifted suspension, and a legally certified off-road package, offering true "ready-to-explore" capability straight from the showroom. Moreover, 212 is pioneering a "factory-customized co-creation" model and plans to introduce hybrid-powered hardcore off-roaders, aiming to strike a balance between traditional mechanical robustness and modern technological integration—ultimately returning to the core essence of off-roading.
