During a live broadcast on February 10—the Chinese New Year's Eve—Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed that the company’s automobile factory in Yizhuang, Beijing, is equipped with 600–700 robots, achieving 100% automation in assembly and inspection processes. The facility is fully powered by rooftop photovoltaic panels, enabling green self-generated electricity. Spanning 718,000 square meters, the plant has been designated as a “2024 Beijing Municipal Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site” and welcomed 130,000 visitors throughout 2025. The factory features six dedicated new-energy vehicle workshops—die casting, stamping, body-in-white, painting, general assembly, and battery—as well as a 2.5-kilometer test track, 29 laboratories, and an on-site retail store, forming an integrated smart manufacturing ecosystem encompassing R&D, production, and sales. Visitors can observe core technologies up close, including the SU7 platform architecture, integrated die-casting, and hybrid steel-aluminum body structures, and also enjoy Xiaomi’s cafeteria and cultural-creative merchandise.
