Baidu’s autonomous ride-hailing platform, Apollo Go (also known as “Luobo Kuaipao”), and Uber have announced an expanded partnership, planning to launch fully driverless ride-hailing services in Dubai, UAE, in the first quarter of 2026. This will mark the first time such a service is introduced in Dubai. Previously, Apollo Go launched commercial fully driverless operations open to the public in Abu Dhabi in January 2026, in collaboration with AutoGo. Its expansion into Dubai signifies a strategic push to accelerate regional deployment, leveraging what it calls its “Middle East Twin Stars” — Abu Dhabi and Dubai — as key hubs. Additionally, Apollo Go has expanded into Europe: it is conducting autonomous vehicle testing and services in London through partnerships with Uber and Lyft, and has teamed up with Swiss PostAuto to launch AmiGo, a customized autonomous mobility service, across three eastern cantons of Switzerland, thereby building an intelligent mobility network spanning Europe and Asia.
