Beijing Hyundai recently announced that its compact SUV, the Tucson, achieved global sales of 780,000 units in 2025, ranking seventh on the global single-model sales chart and standing as the only Korean-branded vehicle in the top ten. By the end of 2025, cumulative global sales of the Tucson had surpassed 10.77 million units. As Beijing Hyundai’s first SUV, the Tucson has undergone five generations of upgrades since its debut in the Chinese market in 2005, consistently aligning with Chinese consumers’ evolving needs. The 2024 model features a 1.5T CVVD engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and 27 ADAS advanced driver-assistance functions. Its deep-rooted presence in China has not only solidified its local reputation but also enhanced the model’s global competitiveness, creating a virtuous cycle of “China-developed innovation empowering global products.” In 2025, Beijing Hyundai recorded annual sales exceeding 210,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 14.8%, marking six consecutive months of positive growth and underscoring the success of its dual strategy combining “ICE + NEV” and “domestic + overseas” markets.
