After sending her truck in for repairs, a woman grew suspicious when the mechanic failed to answer her calls for several days. Using GPS tracking, she discovered the vehicle was on the move—and eventually found it parked in someone else’s driveway, with a washing machine and gym equipment loaded in the truck bed. According to Bill DeVaull, a friend of the woman, who shared the story on TikTok, the mechanic is suspected of using the truck for personal errands and may have even “started a moving company” with it. Experts note that during repairs, vehicles should only be driven for necessary test drives; any personal use without authorization constitutes unlawful use and could, in serious cases, amount to a criminal offense. Netizens expressed shock, with some urging her to “call the police immediately,” while others joked, “This isn’t car repair—it’s a rental service!” The incident continues to unfold.
