Ferrari has been spotted testing a heavily camouflaged prototype resembling a track-focused machine, strongly believed to be the upcoming 296 Challenge Stradale. While based on the 296 family, this prototype differs from the 296 Challenge race car unveiled last year—it features road-legal license plates, standard glass windows, front parking sensors, and non-race tires. Its interior also remains largely intact rather than being stripped down, clearly indicating a road-legal variant. The front bumper sports an all-new design, while the rear features a race-inspired transparent mesh cover and dual exhaust outlets. The signature large rear spoiler is almost entirely unmasked. If confirmed as the Challenge Stradale, the model could ditch its hybrid system in favor of a pure V6 powertrain to reduce weight, potentially delivering around 690 horsepower. Priced above $500,000, it will be extremely limited in production and is expected to debut at the Finali Mondiali event in November.
