The SUV market in 2026 is set to be fiercely competitive, with brands such as Xiaomi, Li Auto, NIO, Aito, Leapmotor, and XPeng all unveiling major new models. Xiaomi’s first extended-range full-size SUV, the YU9, is about to debut. The all-new Li Auto L9 will launch in Q2, featuring dual 5nm Mach 100 chips, an 800V fully active suspension system, an extended-range battery exceeding 70 kWh, and a pure electric range of over 400 km. The NIO ES9 comes equipped with a 102 kWh battery, delivering up to 620 km of CLTC range and a combined output of 520 kW. The Aito M6 will hit the market this spring, powered by Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving hardware. The Leapmotor D19 will be available in both BEV and extended-range variants and will debut Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Dual 8797 chips. Meanwhile, the XPeng GX is built on the SEPA 3.0 architecture, supporting both extended-range and pure electric powertrains, and features steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering systems.
