Tesla has officially removed the one-time purchase option for Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability from its U.S. website, fully transitioning to a $99-per-month subscription model. However, customers who purchase the top-tier trims of the Model S, Model X, or Cybertruck—specifically the Cyberbeast variant—can still obtain lifetime FSD access through the "Premium Package," which also includes lifetime free Supercharging, premium in-car connectivity, and four years of premium service. Tesla has added a new clause explicitly stating that these benefits are non-transferable to subsequent owners or other vehicles. Meanwhile, countries like Australia have extended their deadline for purchasing FSD outright until March 31. As FSD capabilities continue to advance, the subscription price may increase in the future, and rumors suggest Tesla could introduce two versions—one supervised and one unsupervised—with differentiated pricing.
