Despite uncertainty surrounding Porsche's all-electric 718 project, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner recently confirmed that the next-generation electric TT sports car—internally codenamed C-Sport and based on the same platform—is progressing steadily and is expected to enter production in 2027. Derived from the Audi Concept C, the vehicle will feature a heavily modified PPE architecture with the battery positioned behind the driver to achieve a low seating position and classic sports car proportions. As the first model led by design chief Marc Lichte, it not only marks the debut of Audi’s new design language but also carries the crucial role of serving as the brand’s flagship and emotional statement. Döllner emphasized that Porsche’s delivery of the platform “is not in question,” underscoring the strength of the partnership between the two brands. The new model is currently scheduled for an official unveiling next year.
