Toyota has launched the all-new all-electric crossover bZ Woodland in the North American market, positioned as an off-road enhanced version of the bZ4X. Built on the same platform, the new model features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering a maximum output of 375 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds. It comes equipped with 18-inch wheels and offers optional all-terrain (AT) tires, providing a ground clearance of 213 mm and a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. The vehicle supports Tesla’s Supercharger network, enabling a 10%–80% fast charge in only 30 minutes. The EPA-estimated range is 450 km (dropping to 420 km with AT tires), though real-world winter range may plummet significantly to around 250 km. Priced from $46,695, the bZ Woodland costs $5,300 more than its Subaru sibling, the Trailseeker, drawing criticism from consumers. Standard interior features include a 14-inch center touchscreen while retaining physical buttons; higher trims add ventilated seats, a digital rearview mirror, a panoramic sunroof, and a JBL audio system, starting at $48,850. The exterior design has received mixed reactions, with some customers still struggling to embrace its “futuristic” styling.
