On February 23, Hyundai Motor Group announced plans to invest 10 trillion Korean won (approximately RMB 48.12 billion) over the next five years to build an integrated hub in Saemangeum, Gangwon Province, South Korea, focusing on artificial intelligence, hydrogen energy, and robotics technologies. The project will include an AI data center, a large-scale water electrolysis hydrogen production facility, and a robotics factory, all supported by an on-site solar power generation system. The hub will operate under a "local production, local consumption" model, powered entirely by eco-friendly energy. The group has already planned to sign a memorandum of understanding with the South Korean government and will begin implementation this year, further expanding its footprint in cutting-edge technological fields.
