On February 21, an Aito M9 caught fire near Huizhou City in Guangdong Province. No injuries or fatalities were reported. In a statement issued on February 23, Aito Auto said that preliminary investigations showed the vehicle's triple-electric system (battery, motor, and electronic control) was functioning normally, with no other internal abnormalities detected. The company preliminarily concluded that the fire was not caused by any fault of the vehicle itself. Aito Auto stated it would actively cooperate with relevant authorities in the ongoing investigation and assist the customer with post-incident arrangements. The company also urged the public not to believe or spread rumors.
