Honda recently announced a recall in the UK of 46,152 Civic models from model years 2017 to 2021 due to a risk that the aluminum alloy wheel nuts on certain vehicles may not have been sufficiently tightened, potentially leading to loosening or even wheel detachment during driving. According to the European Commission, this recall affects only vehicles equipped with optional aluminum alloy wheels. Affected owners will receive letters containing a QR code, which they can scan to upload photos of their wheels for verification and determine whether their vehicle requires servicing. Honda stated that owners may continue driving their vehicles normally while awaiting further instructions.
