However, subsequent video footage revealed the truth: the Aito M7 was actually rear-ended by a white gasoline-powered SUV, whose engine compartment caught fire. The flames then spread to the rear half of the Aito M7, causing it to burn. The incident was not due to any fault of the Aito M7 itself, but rather resulted from the rear-ending vehicle’s fuel line rupturing upon impact, with the hot engine igniting gasoline vapors and triggering a rapid fire. Such rear-end collision fires are not uncommon, particularly during holiday periods when traffic is heavy. Traffic authorities urge drivers to maintain a safe following distance and stay focused while driving on highways to prevent similar "collateral damage" accidents.
