Recently, a BYD Seagull 06 owner in Hubei Province experienced a harrowing moment on the highway at 3 a.m. during the Spring Festival: a vehicle suddenly appeared parked sideways ahead, and with limited nighttime visibility, human reaction alone would have been insufficient to avoid disaster. Fortunately, the car’s “God’s Eye C” intelligent driving system quickly detected the obstacle and decisively executed a precise evasive maneuver, successfully preventing a collision. The vehicle was cruising steadily at 120 km/h at the time, and the system’s rapid response and accurate judgment have drawn widespread praise online. Currently, BYD is rolling out an over-the-air (OTA) update to “God’s Eye 5.0” for all eligible vehicles, further enhancing nighttime object recognition accuracy and adding practical features such as emergency roadside stopping on highways, thereby strengthening the system’s capability to handle complex driving scenarios.
