Waymo, the self-driving unit of Google's parent company Alphabet, announced it has launched its autonomous ride-hailing service in four new cities, including Houston, bringing its total number of U.S. service areas to ten and further solidifying its leadership in North America’s autonomous ride-hailing market. Waymo is actively expanding its user base while working to alleviate public concerns about self-driving technology.
