Around the Chinese New Year holiday, premium German automakers—BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi (collectively known as "BBA")—launched a new round of price cuts on their internal combustion engine vehicles. According to Lanjing News, driven by both national subsidies and manufacturer incentives, 4S dealerships across multiple regions have offered unprecedented discounts. The BMW 530Li Luxury Package now sees a direct price reduction of RMB 160,000, while the flagship 7 Series offers discounts of up to RMB 270,000. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is discounted by as much as RMB 135,000, and the GLB’s starting price has dropped to RMB 144,900. Audi’s A6L and A7L models have seen price reductions of RMB 151,000 and RMB 187,200 respectively, with some A3 variants now priced as low as RMB 100,000. Meanwhile, BMW Group reported a 12.5% year-over-year decline in sales volume in China for 2025, delivering a total of 625,500 vehicles nationwide. To revitalize its market presence, BMW plans to launch approximately 20 new models in China in 2026, including a locally produced long-wheelbase version of its next-generation iX3.
