Kia America recently announced a recall of 85,448 vehicles sold in the U.S. due to a defect in the seatback frame that may fail to properly restrain occupants during a collision, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. The recall has been reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). While full details of the affected models have not yet been disclosed, Kia will notify relevant owners and provide free repairs.
