Volkswagen brand announced that its cumulative global deliveries of all-electric vehicles have surpassed the 2 million mark—a milestone achieved over 13 years. The 2 millionth vehicle was an ID.3 produced at Volkswagen’s Zwickau plant in Germany. Since launching its first all-electric model, the e-up!, in 2013, Volkswagen has introduced several additional EVs, including the e-Golf and the ID. family. Among these, the ID.4 has emerged as the key growth driver with approximately 901,000 units delivered, followed by the ID.3 with around 628,000 units and the ID.7 contributing about 132,000 units. Volkswagen currently holds a leading position in Europe’s all-electric vehicle market and ranks among the world’s major electric vehicle manufacturers. Looking ahead, the company plans to launch four new small and compact all-electric models—including the ID. Polo—by 2026 to further accelerate the adoption of electric mobility.
