SAIC Motor recently released its latest sales figures: the company sold a total of 597,000 vehicles in January and February, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year. Among these, its Chinese brands delivered outstanding performance, selling 401,000 units—accounting for 67.2% of the group’s total sales—an impressive 14% year-on-year growth. IM Motors, SAIC’s premium EV brand, saw its sales surge by 69.4% year-on-year, with cumulative deliveries of its LS6 model surpassing 100,000 units. SAIC Passenger Vehicle Company reported new energy vehicle (NEV) sales of 50,000 units, skyrocketing by 334.7% year-on-year. Overall, SAIC sold 157,000 NEVs during the first two months, maintaining its leading position in the industry. Overseas markets also showed strong momentum, with cumulative exports reaching 204,000 units—a 48.9% year-on-year increase. The MG brand sold 49,000 units in Europe, continuing to lead among Chinese automotive brands in the region. Additionally, IM Motors has officially entered the UAE and Tunisia, accelerating its expansion into the Middle East and North Africa markets.
