On February 27, the Schaeffler Group announced several senior leadership changes. Effective April 1, 2026, Dr. Jochen Schröder will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and join the Executive Board, succeeding Andreas Schick, who is stepping down for personal reasons. Additionally, the company plans to merge the roles of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and COO to enhance operational efficiency. Dr. Schröder joined Schaeffler in 2018 and currently serves as CEO for the Europe region; prior to that, he held positions at Valeo-Siemens and the BMW Group. Rémy Triouleyre will succeed him as CEO for Europe, while Dr. Xiangbin Chen will take over as CEO for Greater China effective January 1, 2027, replacing Dr. Yilin Zhang, who is retiring. Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of the Schaeffler Group, stated that these changes aim to optimize decision-making efficiency and advance generational leadership transition.
