Apollo Go has temporarily suspended its autonomous driving tests and commercial operations in the UAE, stating that this move is in alignment with the unified deployment by local authorities to ensure transportation safety and operational order. The company said it has made appropriate arrangements for its local team to ensure employee safety and stability and is maintaining close communication with regulators and partners. It will resume operations at an appropriate time in accordance with official guidance. Earlier, Apollo Go launched fully driverless commercial operations in Abu Dhabi in January this year and obtained the UAE’s first fully driverless testing permit in Dubai. In February, it also announced a partnership with Uber, planning to launch fully driverless ride-hailing services in Dubai in the first quarter of 2026.
