To implement the "Guidelines on Price Behavior Compliance in the Automotive Industry," issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation in February 2026, the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) will officially launch preparations for a dedicated task force in March to promote standardized and routine compliance with automotive pricing practices. The task force will focus on addressing key challenges related to price compliance in production and sales, develop detailed implementation measures, and hold weekly specialized meetings. These meetings will invite member companies to offer suggestions and share practical experiences, while collaborating with experts to ensure that the measures are both compliant and operationally feasible. The association emphasized that current non-compliant pricing practices harm consumer rights and disrupt market order. The implementation of these guidelines aims to reshape the industry’s value chain and profit distribution, steering the sector away from destructive, cutthroat price competition toward value-based competition. This shift is intended to foster a healthy, well-ordered market environment characterized by quality-driven pricing and support the high-quality development of China’s automotive industry.
