At MWC 2026, Motorola unveiled its next-generation wireless Android Auto adapter, the MA2—an upgraded successor to the MA1—designed to convert a vehicle’s wired Android Auto setup into a wireless one. Featuring a sleeker, flatter black square design, the MA2 supports 5GHz Wi-Fi transmission and Bluetooth pairing, allowing it to pair with two smartphones simultaneously and switch between them with a single tap. The new adapter introduces a dedicated power switch to prevent unintended connections and battery drain caused by vehicles’ always-on USB ports. It also includes an LED indicator and swappable USB-A/USB-C cables for enhanced compatibility. To use, simply plug the MA2 into the car’s original Android Auto port and pair your phone via Bluetooth for instant wireless functionality. Priced at approximately $40 (around RMB 275), the MA2 offers better value than competing products and is scheduled to launch in May 2026, with availability in the U.S. market expected in Q3 2026.
