Recently, Ms. Zhang, a car owner from Guangdong, experienced a complete vehicle power failure on two consecutive days while driving her Dongfeng Venucia Da-V new energy vehicle during the Spring Festival holiday on highways in Jiangxi Province. The car instantly lost all power and lighting, forcing her to pull over onto the emergency lane and call for roadside assistance. Following the two incidents, the vehicle was taken to authorized service centers in both Jiangxi and Guangdong for inspection. The manufacturer’s preliminary assessment attributed the issue to low voltage in the starter battery and recommended replacing the battery, but did not definitively confirm whether this was the direct cause of the total power loss. Ms. Zhang expressed dissatisfaction with the manufacturer’s vague response and lack of a written resolution. She has since stopped using the vehicle altogether, citing safety concerns and fear of driving it again. The case is still awaiting further investigation and an official response from the manufacturer.
