Gordon Murray Automotive has announced that production of its track-only hypercar, the T.50s Niki Lauda, is entering its final countdown, with the first deliveries scheduled before the end of this year. Based on the T.50 unveiled in 2020, this track-focused beast is powered by a 3.9-liter Cosworth V12 naturally aspirated engine producing 761 horsepower, with a redline at an astonishing 12,100 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed paddle-shift gearbox, weighs under 2,000 pounds, and generates up to 2,645 pounds of downforce. After testing the car at Bahrain International Circuit, legendary racing driver Dario Franchitti hailed it as “the most fun-to-drive track car ever made.” Despite its $3 million price tag, all 25 units have already sold out. Four cars have been completed so far, and production will accelerate in the coming weeks.
