On March 4, Lotus unveiled its proprietary LTS (Lotus Tuned Specification) tuning technology at a technical launch event and debuted its new model, the ForMe. At the event, Feng Qingfeng, CEO of Lotus Group, criticized the industry’s current overreliance on roof-mounted LiDAR sensors and decorative “aerodynamic kits,” emphasizing that genuine high performance requires precise integration of power, braking, and handling—not merely maximizing horsepower. He reiterated Lotus’ long-standing philosophy: “Better to lose one kilogram than gain ten horsepower,” underscoring the critical role of weight reduction in enhancing performance. The ForMe features authentic aerodynamic engineering, which Feng described as “art derived from calculations,” rejecting what he called “aero-decor”—designs created solely for visual appeal. With this launch, Lotus aims to redefine high performance through the LTS standard and spark deeper industry reflection on what constitutes “true performance.”
