On March 8, Mr. Yang, an owner of the Baojun Yunhai, experienced a serious malfunction: just five minutes into normal driving, his vehicle suddenly lost power. The instrument cluster displayed a "Low Battery" warning, and the central touchscreen showed "Shutting down in 3 seconds," after which the entire car went dark, propulsion ceased, and all controls became unresponsive. Despite multiple attempts to restart the vehicle, Mr. Yang was unsuccessful and had to call for a tow truck to take it to a 4S dealership. Diagnostics revealed that the auxiliary (12V) battery was damaged and unable to charge, causing a complete power failure across the vehicle. Notably, although the manufacturer had detected abnormal data through its backend system on March 3 and called Mr. Yang to alert him, the vehicle itself provided no real-time warnings, leaving him caught off guard. Mr. Yang questioned why, if an early warning had been issued, the car didn’t allow him to safely pull over and avoid potential danger. He has since filed a complaint with the manufacturer and is awaiting a response.
