The new automotive brand "Yijing," jointly established by Huawei Qiankun and Dongfeng Motor, announced that its first full-size SUV will come standard across all trims with Huawei’s 896-line LiDAR. The first pre-production prototype rolled off the assembly line in December 2023, with an official debut and market launch scheduled for the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026. Huawei stated that the 896-line LiDAR can clearly detect small objects as far as 120 meters away—such as a 14-centimeter target—and offers significantly improved long-range detection capability and precision compared to its previous-generation 192-line product. It particularly excels at identifying small obstacles like loose gravel, thereby enhancing the safety and decision-making efficiency of intelligent driving systems. This collaboration marks Huawei's continued deepening of its strategic presence in the smart automotive sector.
