Tesla plans to expand its Eddy World Supercharger station in Yermo, California. Once completed, the site will feature over 400 next-generation V4 charging stalls, making it the world’s largest Supercharger station. The project will be developed in six phases, with Phase 1 breaking ground later this year and initially deploying 72 V4 stalls, followed by gradual expansion in subsequent phases. Strategically located along the midpoint of Interstate 15 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas—a high-demand corridor—the station aims to alleviate charging congestion during peak travel periods. Although more than 200 high-power charging stalls already exist within a 20-mile radius, they remain insufficient during busy times. The new facility will also include commercial amenities such as a Biscuit Barrel restaurant, McDonald’s, and a convenience store. Additionally, it will feature drive-through stalls specifically designed for Cybertrucks and vehicles with trailers, accommodating future demand from electric trucks. Upon completion, the station will not only surpass Tesla’s previous record for the largest Supercharger site (which had 164 stalls) but also redefine the concept of highway service areas.
