Amid escalating tensions among the United States, Israel, and Iran, Toyota Motor Corporation plans to cut production in Japan for models exported to the Middle East by approximately 20,000 units by the end of March 2026. The reduction primarily affects the Land Cruiser series. This production adjustment, already underway, aims to address logistical uncertainties and shifting market conditions in the Middle East. Toyota emphasized that this is a short-term operational measure and will not impact its overall production capacity or its financial outlook for fiscal year 2025. The cuts apply exclusively to Japan-made vehicles destined for the Middle Eastern market and do not affect other regions or locally produced models. The company did not disclose specific model breakdowns, factory assignments, or whether domestic allocation in Japan would be increased, but stated it will continue monitoring the situation closely and optimizing production and logistics accordingly.
