Intelligent features are rapidly becoming mainstream in China's new energy vehicles (NEVs) in 2025. According to QuestAuto data, as of December, the adoption rate of L2-level advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) reached 77.3%, up 13 percentage points from the beginning of the year. Notably, L2 ADAS penetration in vehicles priced under RMB 100,000 surged from 17.4% to 37.8%, reflecting a trend toward "democratized intelligent driving." The adoption rate of highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) doubled to 48.0%, while urban NOA rose from 7.1% to 18.7%. Among all new models launched this year, 75% now include intelligent driving assistance as standard equipment, with extended-range electric vehicles leading the pack at a 96% standard-fit rate. Features like automated parking have also seen significant increases in adoption. As technology advances and regulations mature, intelligent driving is shifting from an optional extra to a baseline feature, propelling the industry into a new era of smart mobility.
