At the earnings call on March 12, Li Xiang, CEO of Li Auto, announced that the company’s flagship all-electric model, the Li i9, will officially launch in the second half of this year and is expected to be larger than the i8 (5,085/1,960/1,740 mm with a 3,050 mm wheelbase). Li also revealed that the company aims for sales growth of over 20% in 2024 and outlined its “3+2” strategy: first, ensuring a successful generational upgrade of the L series (including the L9); second, steadily ramping up production and deliveries of its three all-electric models—the i6, i8, and i9; and third, optimizing its direct-sales network. The two supporting initiatives include delivering on intelligent technology R&D outcomes—translating advancements in chips and large AI models into tangible product experiences—and commencing overseas expansion, with 2024 marking Li Auto’s inaugural year for international markets. The company emphasized it has resolved previous supply chain and delivery challenges and is determined to establish a solid foothold in the mid-to-high-end all-electric vehicle segment.
