On March 12, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun stated that the company will optimize the delivery experience for the new-generation SU7 to enable customers to receive their vehicles as early as possible. According to a report by 21st Century Business Herald, production capacity for the model in March could reach 16,000 units. The company’s Yizhuang factory in Beijing has already begun shipping vehicles to retail stores nationwide, with a daily shipment volume of approximately 800 units. The new-generation SU7 opened for small deposits in January, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 229,900 to RMB 309,900, and is scheduled for official launch in April 2026. Compared to the current model, the new version comes standard across all trims with LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, 700 TOPS computing power, and Xiaomi’s end-to-end HAD (Human-Augmented Driving) advanced driver-assistance system, significantly enhancing its intelligent driving capabilities. Xiaomi previously drew considerable attention due to the initial SU7’s lengthy delivery wait time of up to 30 weeks. This time, the company aims to improve delivery efficiency by ramping up production and starting mass manufacturing ahead of schedule.
