JETTA recently unveiled its first new energy concept vehicle, the JETTA X, marking its official entry into a new phase of electrification. According to its roadmap, JETTA plans to launch four new energy vehicles by 2028, with the first mass-produced model scheduled for market release this year. The JETTA X will make its debut during the Beijing Auto Show. The new concept car features a refreshed brand logo—simpler in design yet retaining classic elements. Its exterior is crafted under the "Modern Robust" design language, breaking away from JETTA’s traditional ICE vehicle styling and embracing a more futuristic and youthful aesthetic. The front fascia boasts a bold look, highlighted by tech-inspired daytime running lights. The conventional grille is minimized and visually connects the left and right headlight clusters through decorative elements, while the front bumper integrates an "X" motif and crossover styling cues. The side profile showcases a floating roof, semi-recessed door handles, and flared wheel arches, enhancing its sporty character. At the rear, a full-width light bar spans across the tailgate, with an illuminated JETTA logo at its center that echoes the front headlights. The rear bumper continues the crossover design theme. The launch of the JETTA X represents a key strategic move by JETTA to align with the Volkswagen Group’s global new energy strategy while focusing on the Chinese local market.
