The Bentley Flying Spur is set for a mid-cycle refresh, with a primary focus on exterior design updates that align its overall styling more closely with the Continental GT, adopting Bentley’s latest family design language. The current model’s dual circular headlight units will be replaced by a single-unit design featuring flattened upper edges. Combined with a redesigned front bumper and narrower lighting elements, this gives the front fascia a sharper, more aggressive look while retaining the brand’s signature matrix grille. At the rear, the existing taillight housings are expected to carry over, but their internal lighting structure will be reconfigured to enhance visual impact. The side profile remains largely unchanged for now, though new wheel designs and additional body colors will be introduced. Personalization options will continue to include colored brake calipers, bright or blacked-out trim elements, and various grille inserts. Under the hood, the V8 plug-in hybrid system will remain the mainstay powertrain, but a new entry-level V6 plug-in hybrid system is also expected to join the lineup. While offering lower power output and a less prominent exhaust note compared to the V8, the V6 variant will benefit from reduced weight, improved efficiency, and extended all-electric range—helping to lower the starting price. The refreshed Flying Spur is anticipated to start at around £200,000 (approximately RMB 1.852 million), positioning it against premium luxury four-door sedans such as the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and the BMW Alpina 7 Series. The updated Flying Spur could debut as early as late 2024, though a delay until early 2027 remains possible. It may also be launched alongside Bentley’s upcoming all-electric Urban SUV.
