During a test drive of the top-trim Shangjie Z7, a user accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake while waiting at a red light, causing the vehicle to lurch forward and nearly collide with a bus ahead. The car’s AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system intervened for the first time, successfully preventing a collision. Shortly afterward, due to the driver’s failure to promptly correct their input, the vehicle surged forward again, prompting the AEB system to activate a second time and avert an accident. The user also noted that the Shangjie Z7 offers strong road feedback, clearly distinguishing it from the Zhijie S7, and that the braking response on the top-trim model is highly sensitive, requiring some adjustment. Over the approximately 15-kilometer test drive, the NCA intelligent driving feature operated without requiring any manual intervention. This experience highlighted the critical role of the AEB system in emergency situations.
