In recent years, multiple Chinese automakers have successively launched high-performance supercars, with numerous technical specifications reaching world-leading levels. In 2017, the NIO EP9 set a new lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with 1,360 horsepower and a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 2.7 seconds. In 2023, GAC’s Hyper SSR debuted with a maximum output of 1,225 horsepower, achieving 0–100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds, priced between RMB 1.286 million and RMB 1.686 million. In 2024, Yangwang unveiled the U9, delivering over 1,300 horsepower, a 0–100 km/h time of 2.36 seconds, and a price tag of RMB 1.68 million, equipped with an intelligent body control system capable of functions such as stationary jumping. In 2025, the Yangwang U9 Xtreme was introduced, boasting a top speed of 496.22 km/h and a Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 6 minutes 59.157 seconds, limited to just 30 units worldwide and priced above RMB 20 million. Additionally, the Hongqi S9 features a V8 hybrid powertrain, producing over 1,400 horsepower combined, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 1.9 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 400 km/h; it is offered in a globally limited run at a price of RMB 15 million.
