A car owner has driven his Volcanic Orange F56 MINI Cooper D for 12 years since 2014, accumulating an impressive one million kilometers. The vehicle is powered by its original factory-fitted 1.5-liter three-cylinder B37 diesel engine and has never undergone major repairs or been involved in any accidents, achieving an average fuel consumption of just 2.95 liters per 100 kilometers. Owner Peter Kirchoff has driven the car through at least 25 countries and specifically arranged to reach the one-million-kilometer milestone at the MINI plant in Oxford, UK—the very facility where the car was built. Since purchasing the vehicle, he has meticulously logged all mileage data. The car remains fully operational, and Kirchoff plans to continue driving it until it reaches one million miles (approximately 1.609 million kilometers). Should the car eventually become unusable and not warrant further repairs, its successor will be the new Aceman JCW.
