Two Chinese owners, Liu Kainian and Zou Yunfeng, drove stock-production Xiaomi SU7 Ultras to lap times of 7:09.80 and 7:09.87 respectively on Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit. Known as the “Green Hell,” this track is widely regarded as the ultimate proving ground for automotive performance. These lap times were achieved independently by the owners and have not been officially certified by the circuit. Additionally, in a drag race organized by Carwow, Liu Kainian drove the SU7 Ultra to victory over a supercar owner, who afterward asked if he could purchase the vehicle. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has also been officially added to the racing game Gran Turismo 7, becoming the first Chinese car featured in the title. Xiaomi founder Lei Jun stated that from the outset of its automotive venture, the company aimed to rival Porsche and Tesla, and he expressed gratitude to owners for their support. According to prior disclosures, Xiaomi sent 21 emails to the Nürburgring management seeking permission to test the SU7 Ultra on the track. Initially met with skepticism, the company eventually secured the opportunity to undertake the Nürburgring challenge.
